What is social anxiety 

Social anxiety also known as social phobia is a mental health condition when there is intense fear and sometimes anger in social situations it is also a type of anxiety disorder and it can impact a person's a social ability in these kind of situations such as parties,gatherings and meetings or public speaking .It especially affects the teens who are in their adolescents , according to studies and surveys 1 out of 3 adolescents between the age of 13 and 18 years are affected by this .

While it is common to experience anxiety in day to day social interaction

But individuals with social anxiety feel

overwhelming self-consciousness and fear of judgement in day to day social interactions , this prevents them in engaging more in social activities and affects them in a negative way 

People with this usually withdraw from

Major social interaction and this leads to declining of they're relationships 

And due to the cycle of anxiety it develops fear such as public humiliation , embarrassment and even rejection .


What causes social anxiety disorders 

A mix of genetic, environmental, and psychological variables can all contribute to social anxiety. It could be caused by a history of unpleasant social encounters, a chemical imbalance in the brain, or a hereditary predisposition to anxiety. Low self-esteem, perfectionism, or a history of bullying or teasing can potentially increase it.


The fear of taking to the opposite gender 

In this phase of adolescents most teens tend to have this problem .

It is one of the most crucial things caused by social anxiety, when you overcome this everything would become easy from public speaking to parties it won't be that difficult or awkward like it was before.

We humans are meant to be social creatures and a companion is very much important 

Overcoming social anxiety -

Change your current lifestyle :

 To lessen the effects of anxiety, keep up a healthy daily routine that includes exercise and obtaining enough sleep. Additionally, try reducing your caffeine intake because it might aggravate anxious feelings. Self care is also the most important thing of being healthy 


Fight your threatening thoughts 

Asking yourself these following questions will help you approach your issues in a more practical manner:

  • What if something good happened instead of the bad  ? 

  • Is it likely the outcome I’m so afraid of will actually happen?

    Shift your focus 

Try to shift your attention from your thoughts and anxious feelings to the task at hand.this will get the things done 


Face your fears 

Try to push yourself to do the task that is the least intimidating to begin with. Then gradually expose yourself to the more difficult material. Before you realise it, you'll feel more at ease in situations that cause you to worry 


Don't worry about  judgement

 It's your life and you wish what to do 

Don't let others decide what you do 

Don't take they're words 


Now to the main point of  talking to the opposite gender 

Be natural 

Be who you are don't act or rush up 

Take your time 


Fear of rejection

If your planning on taking your relationship to another level you need to get over that fear 


Get comfortable

With the opposite gender talk yourselves through ,know each other


Be Positive 

Don't overthink just do it
